Dr. Michelle Conforti received her doctorate of dental surgery from University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. She has since received hundreds of post graduate continuing education course credits in multi-disciplinary dental treatments. Her credentials include Cosmetic Dentistry, Full Mouth Reconstruction, and General Family Dentistry (from root canals to braces).
As a quality minded dentist, Dr. Conforti directs and works closely with her technician who provides assistance and years of experience fabricating the materials used in your dental treatment.

Shane Thomas, D.D.S.
Dr. Shane Thomas is local who graduated from Brother Rice High School in 2008. He received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Physics from Wayne State University in 2012. He then obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2016.
Dr. Thomas is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of Spear education, to keep himself up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry.
Dr. Thomas’ favorite aspect of dentistry is that he’s able to create trustworthy, authentic relationships with his patients, providing them with the best quality service concerning their oral health. He values patient education regarding his treatment recommendations so that the patient is fully informed before making any decision. He also works to ensure that the patient’s goals are best achieved. He prides himself on relating with his patients and meeting them wherever they are, especially about their previous dental experiences. Dr. Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife, Tanya, and creating memories with his 3-year-old daughter, Lana and 6-month-old, Mira. He loves staying active, playing basketball, flag football, and working out. He is actively involved with his church community, mentoring younger men, and looks forward to continuing serving there alongside his wife.
Stephanie ~ Office Manager
Stephanie has been an essential part of our practice since May 2014, serving as our Office Manager and resident "insurance guru." Prior to joining our team, she spent six years in the orthodontic field as both a front desk coordinator and assistant. With nearly two decades of dental experience, Stephanie excels at navigating patient care and insurance benefits to ensure every visit is seamless. True to her favorite quote from Annie—"You're never fully dressed without a smile"—she loves playing a key role in helping our patients create and maintain beautiful smiles.
Stephanie lives in Highland with her husband, their five children, and two cats. Outside the office, she loves playing in the kitchen, hiking, kayaking, cheering on her children during their many activities, and is a massive football fan (Let's Go, Detroit Lions!).
Kerri ~ Patient Care Coordinator
Kerri joined our team in October 2025, bringing a wealth of well-rounded experience to our front desk. With a background spanning general dentistry, orthodontics, and oral surgery, she has cared for patients both as a clinical dental assistant in the back and on the administrative side at the front. Her comprehensive knowledge of the dental field allows her to support our patients seamlessly through every step of their visit.
A staple of the community, Kerri has lived in South Lyon for nearly 30 years with her husband, and she is a proud mom to two adult sons who are out making their mark on the world. Outside the office, she is an avid football fan who loves tailgating and cheering on the University of Michigan—Go Blue!

Shannon ~ Patient Care Coordinator
Shannon joined our practice in April 2026 as the newest face at our front desk. While her professional healthcare background is rooted in orthopedic surgery, she has thoroughly enjoyed making the switch to the world of dentistry and helping our patients feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door.
Shannon recently relocated to Michigan from Florida alongside her husband. Dentistry is quickly becoming a family affair—her daughter is currently pursuing her degree at the University of Florida College of Dentistry (Go Gators!). Outside the office, Shannon loves to travel, explore new destinations, and spend quality time with her family.
Jenniffer ~ RDH
Jenniffer started in the dental field as a dental assistant prior to graduating from the Oakland Community College’s Hygiene program in 2004. Jenniffer joined the Gateway Dental Care team in December of 2014. When asked what she enjoys most about being a hygienist, Jenniffer replied “I enjoy the interaction with the patients. It gives me great joy seeing the improvements made by better oral hygiene”. She currently lives in Waterford with her two children.

Jodi graduated from the University of Michigan’s dental hygiene program in 2020. She joined the Gateway Dental Care team in June of 2020. Her favorite part of being a hygienist is connecting with patients, she loves working with kid and helping them with their oral hygiene. Jodi currently lives in South Lyon with her son.

With a passion for dentistry that began in 1993, Danielle has dedicated more than three decades to caring for others through the dental profession. In 2001, she graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy as a dental hygienist, building on years of experience and a genuine desire to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
Outside of dentistry, her greatest joys are her faith in Jesus, her husband of 24 years, and her three grown children. She is grateful for the blessings of family, faith, and a fulfilling career that has allowed her to make a difference in the lives of others.
